Your bedroom is your private space designed for resting and relaxation. It’s important to consider a few key design decisions, to enhance comfort and create a more balanced atmosphere. Here are 3 essential bedroom design tips:
Bedroom Layout

Bed placement has a considerable role on the ergonomical comfort of your bedroom, since the privacy is one of the prior concerns while designing bedrooms. The bed should be positioned out of sight in the opening direction of the door, if possible.
You should design the space in a way that can answer at least basic needs and hold supporting functions as bedside tables and wardrobes most probably. Unless you have limited space for your sleeping area, I would suggest adding a relaxing reading corner or a console with seating element to offer multi-functionality and self-sufficiency within the space.

Bed & Side Table Height

Another thing to consider when designing a bedroom is the bed height, which varies from person to person. In general, a height equivalent to knee height to leg length is considered ideal. However, this height may vary for tall or short people. The height of the bedside table should be at the same level with the bed or a maximum of 5 cm higher. This will make your bedside table ergonomically comfortable and safer.

Size of the Artwork

Art havs an impact on people by evoking emotions which is quite important to consider while choosing artworks for your bedroom. Bedroom should be space that is serene and comfortable. Therefore, the artwork you choose to hang on either the wall behind or in front of your bed should present calmness and reflects positive energy. At the end; you are what you eat, what you think, and what you see.
Apart from the context of the artwork, size and scale has a vital role to provide visual balance in the bedroom. Choosing large wall decorations such as paintings over the bed makes the space feel more spacious, creating visual balance with the functional elements.
